Uh... nickname headcanon time? I guess?

For a while, I needed to have Ninjago nicknames ready in my brain whenever I wrote. Then I would have to remember the ones the fandoms made up. Then I decided "fuck it; just make a list so that it's ready to go."

So, here's random list that I have slowly gathered up. As you can see, I list the character, and then I'll put the nicknames that they'll call the others below that. Some nicknames I am well aware exist, but don't like (example: "Pebble" for Cole) or my creative juices die for characters I rarely write about (literally anybody that's not the OG 4), so this is not a comprehensive list of every nickname within the fandom. Just ones that I like and would like to use at some point.

Victoria Monét McCants (born May 1, 1989) is a singer-songwriter. First gaining recognition for her songwriting work, she pursued a recording career with the release of a series of extended plays before releasing her fifth EP, Jaguar (2020) to critical acclaim. Her debut studio album, Jaguar II (2023) became her commercial breakthrough and was supported by the hit single, “On My Mama”, which peaked within the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 and earned a Grammy Award nomination for Record of the Year. She received seven nominations at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards in 2024, winning Best New Artist, Best R&B Album, and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.

She became involved in performing arts at a young age and embarked on a musical career in 2010. She took to songwriting and began doing so in tandem with Jerkins and his associate, D’Mile. She became a frequent collaborator of singer Ariana Grande, having co-written songs for each of her studio albums from her debut Yours Truly (2013) up to her sixth, Positions (2020). She received three Grammy Award nominations (including Album of the Year) for her work on Grande’s Thank U, Next. Grande and Monét released the single “Monopoly”, which became a top 40 hit on the UK Singles Chart.

She has worked on songs and albums for other high-profile artists including Nas, Travis Scott, Blackpink, Fifth Harmony, T.I., Lupe Fiasco, Chrisette Michele, Brandy, Coco Jones, Chloe x Halle, and Chris Brown. Her accolades include two Soul Train Music Awards, three Grammy Awards, and the Rising Star Award from Billboard Women In Music.

She was born in Atlanta and moved to Sacramento as a child. She appeared on stage in holiday plays, and in church, she sang in the youth choir. She formed her dance group; this led to teaching at two dance studios.

Will sospechó desde el inicio. En el almuerzo ocupaban la misma mesa, al salir caminaban abrazados, de hecho, cada instante disponible lo destinaban a estar juntos.

Todos lo notaban, nadie decía nada, él no preguntaba.

Ciertamente, dolía. Imaginaba sustituir a Alana. Solo soñaba.

¿Qué camino escogió? Aparentar alegría infinita al enterarse de que dos de sus amigos tenían una relación.

Los fotografiaba a petición de ella; no las borraba. Cuando el rechazo golpeaba su pecho, las revisaba y permitía que las lágrimas brotaran. No lo remediaba, pero su aflicción emanaba a cuentagotas.

…

Llegó temprano a la escuela. La ciudad era peculiar, un segundo de desfase en tu horario habitual y atrasarías o apresurarías tu rutina.

El sol iluminaba los muros color pistacho, hojas verdes caídas de los árboles llenaban el asfalto y el viento producía una melodía con las aferradas a las ramas.

—¡Hola, Graham!

—Hola, Bloom.

Antes apreciaba la efusividad de su “amiga”, ahora resultaba irritante.

Lo invito a caminar alrededor del colegio. Discutieron referente a la fiesta que realizarían en la casa de ella, luego la mujercita empezó a desahogarse respecto a su ruptura con Hannibal.

“Demasiado inmaduro. No se presta a solucionar problemas”.

“¿Ternura? Pff, su inteligencia es recíproca a la imposibilidad de demostrar cariño”.

Actuación extra.

“¡Lo siento tanto!” Un apretón. “Encontrarás a alguien mejor”. ¿Existe?

Celebró que Lauren, la prefecta, abriera la pesada puerta metálica y el suplicio acabara.

Beverly y Margot llegaron rato después, ni siquiera saludaron. Se avecinaron a él con objeto de corroborar que la lista de invitados y el dinero recaudado se mantuvieran ordenados. Libres de deudas, pendientes o cabos sueltos.

Se cuestionó la razón de planificar excesivamente una sencilla reunión.

Era la primera vez que el ojigarzo acudía a ese tipo de evento, ya que nunca se le dio socializar ni obtenía muchos permisos de su madre sobreprotectora.

No negaba que la sensación de incertidumbre ante las aventuras que traería la noche, le entusiasmaba. Percibir la mirada de Lecter encima de su nuca, durante la media hora de descanso, no le gratificaba.

Conservaban cercanía, sin embargo, el tiempo compartido disminuyó, igual que los roces.

Lo extrañaba, no obstante, su dignidad era mayor y no mendigaría migajas de atención.

…

El viaje se extendió más de lo previsto. Una pequeña edificación ocre, protegida por un portón oscuro, era el hogar de la pelinegra. No era un buen vecindario, mas no era el peor.

El interior era amplio, pintado de tonos durazno y muebles que apostaba heredados.

Prefirieron no comer y dedicarse a colocar en el jardín las luces para la pista de baile, limpiar y decorar.

Al terminar, entraron a un estudio repleto de cajas, un viejo sillón y una computadora arcaica. El rizado contempló a la ondulada acicalarse.

—Iré al baño.

—Arriba. Al final a la derecha.

Alcanzó su mochila y se dirigió a su destino.

Desempacó unos jeans negros y un suéter rojizo. Usó el cinturón y los tenis del “uniforme”.

Untó una pizca de aceite de coco en las zonas altas de su rostro, iluminándolas. Bálsamo labial aumentó el rosa natural de dicha área. Eso bastaba.

Varias conocidas de Alana aparecieron. Se sentaron a conversar mientras “Ocean drive” se oía de fondo. Él no participó, aunque sí se informó de los inconvenientes familiares de esas chicas.

Treinta minutos más tarde, seguían exentos de rastro de sus amigos, incluso las hamburguesas que encargaron arribaron, sin embargo, no había quién las degustara.

Una llovizna cayó y les desanimó; podría ser motivo de inasistencia y sus planes fracasarían.

Pero no…

Delante a la entrada, entreabierta, de hierro, aparcó un Jaguar azabache. Katz, con su impecable cabello lacio, escoltada por Hannibal. Eso, en efecto, impactaba.

Verlo ahí, sumamente perfecto, rozando el término de “divinidad”, le regaló a su mente un recuento de las semanas en la biblioteca, aprendiendo Historia, y las tiernas escenas guardadas de él, alimentándose.

Convivían a diario, a pesar del “malentendido” y justo en aquel momento, ante el castaño y su maldita exnovia, quiso derrumbarse.

…

Matthew, otra de las exparejas de Bloom, se adhirió a ella cual chicle. Danzaban y cantaban felices, chocando sus frentes y tomándose de las manos. Las circunstancias coadyuvaron y se besaron.

Will esperaba que Lecter reaccionara mal, no obstante, se unió al bullicio generado.

Por otra parte, Verger se encargó de emborrachar a todos. Le sirvió tequila a la mayoría. Entre ellos y el castaño arrasaron con el vodka.

Graham la observaba bailotear mediante las divisiones en medio de los bambús que funcionaban de muro y apartaban la pista de la mesa de pícnic donde comieron.

—¿Qué haces aquí sentado? Todos se divierten —indagó Hannibal, acomodándose junto al ojigarzo.

—Me entretuve suficiente. Descansaré y regresaré. Enseguida lo necesitarán o simplemente te imitarán y buscarán al individuo más asocial que conozcan con intención de dialogar.

—¿Crees que poseo tal influencia? ¡Vamos, no soy tan relevante!

—Guapo —Comenzó a enlistar ayudándose de sus dedos—, carismático, inteligente, dispones de todo para convertirte en líder. Tardaría años mencionando tus cualidades.

El mayor sonrió levemente. Le gustó escuchar eso del joven.

De pronto, “If I Go, I'm Goin” sonó. El chance idóneo para perder miedo y dejar que la bebida se tradujera a “el pretexto óptimo”.

—¿Bailamos? —Se levantó y le tendió su mano—. No necesitamos ir a la pista si te incomoda.

Sopesó la situación. Acababa de ver a su ex besuqueándose con otro, frente a él y decenas de gentes. Su ego pudo herirse y aquello era una venganza magnífica.

¿Qué había de sus deseos? Era una ocasión, seguramente, irrepetible. No la desperdiciaría, aunque posteriormente tuviera que recoger sus pedazos.

Entrelazaron sus manos. El menor llevó una al hombro contrario y Lecter rodeó la cintura ajena.

Torpes pasos de vals los hicieron girar. Estaban bastante próximos, a punto de hundirse en sus clavículas. Aspirando sus aromas diversos; bosque y cientos de dólares almacenados dentro de un frasco de perfume.

»Somos pésimos en esto —Se separó algunos centímetros, admirándolo y guardando, en su palacio mental, esa imagen del muchacho iluminado por un reflector amarillo que acentuaba su sonrojo.

—Sí —Le devolvió la mirada. Amaba el ligero bronceado adornando la piel del castaño. Cada detalle de él impresionaba—, mas es agradable.

La adoración persistió en las pupilas del rizado, como si esos cuatro meses restregándole a otra persona en la cara no marcara diferencia.

Ignoró el temor, se acercó y fusionó sus labios de un modo tierno y cálido.

El mundo frenó cuando apreciaron restos de saliva, prueba del secreto naciente que compartirían… ellos, Bev y Jimmy.

—Shockeante —confesó Price, ingirió un trago de su vaso rojo y volteó a verificar la reacción de su compañera: boquiabierta—, algo insólito.

—Veníamos a invitarlos a jugar “7 minutos en el paraíso”, sin embargo, creo, empezaron sin nosotros —bromeó Katz.

—Mierda —maldijo Will, frotándose la cara—. ¡Por favor, no le digan a nadie! —imploró, estrujándolos.

—Tranquilos, campeones, están a salvo.

…

Brown no desaprovechó la oportunidad de comentar su época “rockstar” tocando en modestos lugares locales.

Hannibal y Graham se incorporaron al círculo donde la botella elegía las parejas del juego, pero decidieron no participar.

—¡Will, no tienes idea de cuánto te me antojas! —declaró Matt cuando el envase de vidrio los señaló.

—Estoy fuera y, francamente, no anhelo probar la baba de Beverly.

—Solo un besito —Brown gateó en el pasto hasta alcanzarlo y jalarlo de la nuca.

Súbitamente, su cuerpo se elevó, sus pies no tocaban el piso, Lecter sostenía el cuello de su camisa.

—¡Pedazo de imbécil, ¿se olvidaron de enseñarte el significado de “no”? —La rabia se apoderó del castaño, oscureciendo su expresión y orillando a mostrar sus caninos, involuntariamente.

—¡Déjalo, da lo mismo! —El ojigarzo se ubicó a su lado y palpó su brazo.

Lo bajó. Matthew quedó atónito e inmóvil.

—Si vuelves a insinuarte, tocarlo o respirar en torno a él, toda esa furia que casi te hace manchar tus pantalones, caerá sobre ti —le susurró al oído—. No me controlaré.

Agradeció, nuevamente, que la pelinegra no fuera testigo.

—¡Marchémonos, los padres de Bev llegaron! —Jimmy los arrastró hacia la salida.

El grupo de adolescentes permaneció callado en el transcurso del trayecto, pues su olor y forma de hablar, los delatarían.

Hannibal se apoyó en la sien del menor, copiándoles a Beverly y a Price; las distinciones fueron los dedos enroscados y el beso en la frente al despedirse.

Ninguno sabía qué ocurriría a partir de aquella madrugada, aunque… poco importó.

I realized very early on that I've always been attracted to in media and fiction, unconventional protagonists that while are heroic, they're NOT at all the typical type of "heroes" you'd expect. I've always found that way more interesting and compelling than most other regular or conventional type of stories.
